NWSEO Represented at Receptions for Congressmen Mollohan and Wu

(May 10, 2010) NWSEO President Dan Sobien, Vice President Bill Hopkins and General Counsel Richard Hirn attended two political receptions in Washington DC this week. On Wednesday, May 5 they attended a reception in honor of West Virginia Representative Alan Mollohan, Chairman of the Commerce, Justice, and Science Appropriations Subcommittee. The subcommittee funds the Departments of Commerce and Justice including NOAA, as well as, other science agencies such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Later on Wednesday they attended a reception in honor of Oregon Representative David Wu. Congressman Wu is on the House Committees on Science and Technology and Education and Labor. Both Congressmen Mollohan and Wu have been good friends of the NWSEO.
