NWSEO Invited Speak at Sen. Mikulski's Press Conference on Government Shutdown

(October 2, 2013) NWSEO Steward Amy Fritz was invited to speak on behalf of NWSEO at a press conference for Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD).  Amy is a meteorologist at NWS Headquarters where she develops and improves hurricane and extra-tropical storm surge models to directly support the National Hurricane Center. Amy is one of the many NWS employees on furlough due to the government shutdown. Here is a link to the video of the conference. Amy is the second speaker.
